School project with sand and rock paintings. Together with preschoolstudents (10 classes in total) at Långmosseskolan in Gothenburg, I completed an environmental art project spring 2017. Five classes painted well-known cave painting motifs on chosen rocks. The other 5 classes made sandpaintings. Through their own creation, the children get an understanding that they can be a part of positive changes and active care for the environment. Documentary works on the project were exhibited at BLÅ STÄLLET in Angered (a culture house neer by).
The paint used for cave painting motifs on the rocks is colour pigment and will be washed away by rain and wind.
